Merrill is a combat mage, specializing in a lot of damage dealing spells, but there are some that would probably need player approval. All of her abilities can be found on my info post, but these specific! I'm always open for discussion, so please don't hesitate to contact me!

Dispel: "The mage interrupts enemy spellcasting, removes hostile magical effects from the party, and disables sustained magical abilities from enemies across an area of the battlefield." [Dispel chance: 100%]
Is it alright for Merrill to remove any magical wards from your player if the time arises? This ability allows her to remove beneficial stats from an enemy character.

Petrify: "The mage entombs an enemy in stone, leaving the foe temporarily unable to move. However, the target becomes more resistant to damage for the duration of the spell." [Paralyze chance: 100% vs. any enemy]
Exactly as it sounds. Is it possible for Merrill to essentially hold your character in one spot? Obviously wouldn't work on character with non-corporeal bodies. Merrill doesn't want you to move, and will probably try to use this spell as a means to get some distance between herself and the character she's fighting.

•Anything regarding blood magic as well. This power uses blood from either the mage or someone else. This power is not affected by the Music.
